CeeCee Simone releases her solo debut as an EP called Beautiful Rough Edges. It features several of her Cant Stop Muzik labelmates but she manages to keep the spotlight on her talents, especially her songwriting. The album starts off with her lead single "You" and flows into the title track, "Rough Edges". The latter is a perfect summary of what to expect from a beautiful woman that has experienced the ugly side of the world yet still manages to stand strong through it all. Over some dope production, Suga Mane lends CeeCee a hand on "Later, Not Goodbye", an ode to those gone too soon. She rounds out the 6-song EP with a special request to her lover on "Spend The Night" and "You Aint Seen Crazy". The album sounds like the story of a good girl thats been through some gangster shit but overall, an impressive debut from the songstress.
